there a hks carbon ti and ti for that price. then there is the "full race 4 inch" hks model that they offer also. comes with a mid pipe that eliminates the cat. not the precat, the cat only. the hks full race is supposed to be fore high hp cars 600 plus i believe.

HKS Ti doesn't have a burnt tip, Greddy Ti does. HKS has a larger diameter of tubing and as stated is from the downpipe exhaust. The cat is very heavy so largest weight reduction gains are seen from having the HKS Ti. Now the few shops that stocked it that I have seen are selling it for 900$ and less.

For weight freaks yes it is worth it. For walet concious FD owners no it is not.

The HKS Ti DOES have a burnt tip according to the pictures and when I have seen it IN PERSON on cars. But I'm not here to argue. Just wondering where these quotes are coming from... The $680 I was quoted was for the Titanium that I don't believe was the racing series with 4" pipes. I believe it was just the catback... Not sure though.

OHHH, you are talking about the HKS Carbon Ti not the same thing at all. The Carbon Ti aside from looks is not worth it at all you are paying for looks alone the it is a regular Hi power with a carbon wrapped canister and a titanium tip. 680$ shipping is actually real expensive for it Jason at rx7store.net sells it for 535$ + shiping which isn't a fortune. Cost me like 65$ of shipping and I am in Canada. Plus try and keep the business in the family

I have the Apexi N1 Titanium and I love it. It's pretty mellow to me, but then again I was running no muffler before. I like it in that it doesn't have that goofy flared trumpet tip that the Greddy Ti now has.

The HKS Carbon TI shouldn't even be considered when talking about titanium exhaust, as only the tip is titanium.

I personally like the rolled tip and find the extended tip to be a joke.

You are correct! My bad. I was thinking of the exaust bolted up to a downpipe which eliminates the pre-cat (the downpipe does).

Nah I'm talkin about the Ti. I'd never put a carbon Ti on my car. Don't like the look. The HKS Ti thru my shop has the burnt tip finish and is $680. There was a local car that had it here that I used to see every once in a while and his had that finish as well. Trust me, I'm an HKS freak!
