Ti exhaust worth it?

I'm starting to lean towards a full ti exhaust, such as Greddy's or Apex'i, but I was just wondering if the weight savings are really worth it? I can't find sound clips of either, so if anyone has any experience with these, that too would be appreciated. I'd like to find an Amuse exhaust, just for the rarity, but I've been told they're super expensive, so that's probably out. What do you guys think?

Magnaflow has a sound sample of their exhaust on their page. You can also look at their site.

I have a Racing Beat exhaust and i love it. I have freinds with both Apexi and Greddy exhaust and honestly, a cop is on their *** almost ALL the time and all they have a is a catback. I have a downpipe and RB catback and it is pretty quiet unless you at WOT at which point i sounds awsome. Also Apexi exhaust, so Ive heard, are pretty bad quality. If you role up a piece of paper and bend it in half, look at how the center section gets sqaushed. I have heard the Apexi exhausts are made like that too. The Amuse exhaust is $1650. ide recomend the RB. Its nto too loud but it sounds nice at WOT. Also you wont have cops following you EVERYwhere you go

I got the GReddy Titanium catback exhaust, i have a video on streetfire if you wanna hear it. It's not the best quality vid but check it out. I really like the exhaust and in my opinion with the stock midpipe cat it isn't that loud, unless you go wot all the time. I have only woke up my gf's parents once during summer with the windows open, but haven't yet since it's too cold to have the windows open

Btw, idk if sussex/menomonee falls cops are different but i've had some driving next to me and behind me and haven't got pulled over, knock on wood. and it's not a loud honda type sound but more of a exotic sound So just my two cents on the situation

Lisbon? New Lisbon? I'm in LaCrosse. If you put in a magnaflow muffler in the midpipe it'll sound like this.

As far as the Apexi is concerned, are you sure your friend does not have just the muffler and had pipes made at the local muffler shop? All Apexi, Greddy, HKS, ect. exausts have mandrel bent piping which eliminates the crink in the bend.

There wont be a difference(well maybe 1hp?) between a greddy ti and another aftermarket exhaust..and the few lbs it saves isnt going to change much unless your car is a serious track car..theres a lot of other ways to loose weight on the car, or yourself lol So im just sayn go with what you want(sound wise) since theres really no differences between the exhausts.

Yeah.. I dunno what he's talking about. The GT is the best done SS exhaust I've ever seen in person as far as "craftsmanship" goes. I've had both the N1 and GT personally, and neither of them had any sketchy bends or welds.

And.. the majority of A'pexi and GReddy exhausts have big fat coffee can tips. They're flashy. The RB is pretty subtle as far as looks go. Might explain the cop situation.

Titanium = saweet.

Yeah, but the HKS Ti isn't actually all Ti. It's just the can of the exhaust, where as on the GReddy and the Apex'i, it's all Ti, same with Amuse. I also don't like the sound of it much, which is what I'm trying to stay away from.

Isn't the hanger stainless steel, seemed that way to me when i installed and i remember reading it somewhere. I didn't have any fitment issues, yea it is a tad close to the bumper, haven't seen any melting issues but I only take her out on the weekeds.

http://rx-7.com/ has a great price on the GReddy Titanium that's where i got mine from, ships fast, awesome service. I would recommend if you decide to get it, get it frm there. Still listed for 619 plus i think 35 or so for shipping if i remember right.

You're gonna have to stay away from the HKS Racing Ti, not available anymore (from what I was told) and it's a race exaust. It eliminates the cat and pre-cat. 4" piping for serious power, pretty light for being stainless and 4".

HKS Ti for $1300 ?! ?! Where are you looking?! The shop I go to sells it for $680 shipped. I had the choice between that or the HiPower for $400 and I wanted the HiPower cuz I don't like the burnt tip.
