Can I hook it up without removing the tranny?

Thanks

You should be able to see it through the access panel on the bottom of the tranny (if it's hooked into the clip which is connected to the pressure plate).

You said you installed a ACT clutch in your last thread. Did you remove the tranny and clutch yourself or did you have someone else do it?

Unhappy

D@mn... thats too long!

This is the site I used when I changed my clutch

http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/clutch_install.html

I also used the manual. Sorry I didn't take pics myself.
What makes you think the bearing isnt hooked up? You could have a few things wrong that I can think of i.e. broken fork. the fork is not engaging the bearing , bad slave cylinder ???? Not to make you worry more. Please explain in more detail. How does your clutch pedal feel?Did place you disc on the correct way?
Ill try to help the best I can.

Also you can take off the access panels and take out your slave cylinder and with your hand pull the end of the fork. You should of heard and felt the bearing engage the center of pressure plate

The slave cyliner piston that depresses the fork doesnt touch the for. I figure its the throw out bearing cause it all the way depressed foward.. i can pull it back put it goes right back near the front end of the car. Fork is good.. its otta be the bearing!

Are you Pulling hard enough? I recall the first time I pulled and let go it went back towards the back. You really should hear it "click"
Also you have an ACT press. plate correct? Is it a HD or Extreme Plate. I have HD and it has a metal ring in the middle; your has this also?

I was only asking if you did the stock clutch removal as you would have had to separate the pressure plate and the throw-out bearing (so you would have seen what it looked like). However, if it's been 8 months since you did it....

What are the problems you are having exactly?

First thing you should do is look through the bottom access panel on the tranny and see if the throw-out bearing is attached to the pressure plate via the clip ring or not.
