Dash turn flashers hidden by wheel

OK, small problem, but you are bored, right?
The dash indicators that flash green light to show you that you have your turn signal on
are hidden behind the steering wheel rim.
(If you are short of body, you will not have this situation)
Has anybody figured out a clever trick to make the flashers visible? Mirrors? Periscopes? Fiber optic fibers? Loud gong sound?
I feel funny driving a cool car down the road and then realizing I have had my turn signal on for the last 10 miles...

You can hear that in your car?

another thing I can no longer hear is the warning as you approach fuel cut. Beep.

sometimes I can other times I cant I hear the car beeping (fuel cut) or clicking (blinkers). I kinda developed a telescoping neck to be able to check my blinkers and high beam indicators :P

I can hear it faintly in my car with the windows down but that's probably because I am listening for it

Are you talking FC or FD? Your avatar is an FC so one could assume you're talking about one of them. As far as the FD I can't see this happening.

when i got my car the previous owner had fitted a momo race wheel that was closer to the dash and i couldn't see the tops of the gauges, couldn't see the revs or the speedo etc.

fitted an hks 30mm spacer and now i can just make out the of the gauges but have lost sight of the green flasher arrows

i'm over 6'2" and you are probably pretty tall too, not much you can do about except experiment with spacers but you'll probably lose sight of something else as the wheel doesn't tilt....does on the rx8 but that car has no power compared to the fd

I believe that there are loud blinker units made, not specifically for the FD but just universal replacements.

mine are covered up with CF, and I can't really hear the ticks unless I'm listening for it. I never hear the shift beep.

I know exactly what you are talking about as i have a long torso and short legs. I drive almost on top of the wheel and can't see the turn signals. I have learned to do the telescoping neck thing too. Kinda similar to the move where i check my blind spot on the left side lol.

Move to Portland, they don't use blinkers there!
