Those who did block seal
I have already searched, but I need some more info from those who did it. Did you drain the whole coolant system(from the radiator and from the drain plug under the car?) I have heard that you shouldn't drain the rad. ever. Also did you have to take out the thermostat? I read that someone had done that. If you could, would you show exact procedure and the outcome. I really appreciate it.

I have not done it but you always drain out as much coolant as you can. From the block and Rad. then I would put a hose on the filler neck and run a good bit of water thru her. Now fill it up with water and bloack weld and run it. You will never get all the coolant out but just get as much as you can.

Dude,
I did a report on this with detailed instruction. I removed the thermostat otherwise it takes forever to fill and warm the car up. Figured a shortcut to this.
1. loosen the alternator belt;
2. use a 1/4 drive and 10mm socket
3. tape the socket to a 6 inch extender with electirical tape so the socket doesn't fall out when you insert it into the space b/w the airpump and the themostat housing;
4. remove the three bolts and remove housing
5. remove thermostat;
6. clean thermostat housing with a angled buffer
7. attach the housing;
8. do the block weld;
9. replace thermostat. DONOT DRIVE AROUND WITHOUT A THERMOSTAT.
