I have heard of some owners polishing parts, then having them ceramic coated in clear. Has anyone done this or have pictures of what this looks like? What about annodizing? Can they do clear now?

4)I am not sure but it may not be durable in high temp applications such as LIM, UIM, etc.

For all the IC piping and strut ends etc......i dont think your looking at to much in extra weight. if it was, say a whole bike frame, or wheels then yes.

yes you are correct, to chrome it must first be polished. As for price, here it is the same. Thats why most people say just chrome it. looks better, and cost the same.

Dissipation i dont know about....but for temperature applications. I think it would be fine.
I have seen all kinds of things that are high temp items that have been done.......brake calipers, motors(bike), brake rotors(bike), etc......

cheers
Shawn

FYI- The hardware and brackets on the end of your R1 strut tower brace are steel, not aluminum. You will want to have thiose chromed, or at least re-powdercoated.

Good luck.
