Question Think I've got gas in my oil

Yesterday when I took off my oil cap to start my oil change I noticed a few spots of a clear liquid on the bottom of the oil cap. I took a whiff of it, and it smelled like gas. I'm not sure how, but is it possible I have fuel leaking into my oil? Does anyone have any insight on this?

There is almost always water condensed on the inside of the oil cap. This is what you are seeing and is normal. The oil and the inside of the cap also always smell like gasoline. This is also normal.

why is that though? I heard that if you switch to synthetic there will be a lot less of that crap on there.

In piston engine, if you see that white crap, that pretty much means time for a rebuild.

Cap is normal, and run mineral oil - not synthetic.

Actually, my biggest problem right now is that my fans won't turn on unless the A/C is on.

Yea alot of people run synthetic without problems, if you research it youll see why we were told not to originally run synthetic...
