what do you guys think? are these turbos out or can they be rebuilt?


the only damage i can see is a part of the primary turbo fan blade was chiped as you can see in the picture, the secondary turbo seems fine(last picture)


is there anything else i should check out/test to see if the turbos are good?

 

I have a couple extra compressor wheels I'll sell ya

 

They will be significantly out of balance, and even if they run good I expect they won't last nearly as long. But if they boost ok and don't make noise or blow oil out the exhaust, I'd say go ahead.

A general rule I have noticed on the forum is that stock turbo rebuilds dont tend to be worth the money. If I were you I would just pick up a low milage set of stockers in the for sale section. It will be much cheaper, and everything will be OEM. Thats what I did, and I couldnt be happier. I found a set with 33k on them for only $100. It was local for me too, so there was no shipping. Just look around, there are plenty of deals to be had.
