These cars really do amase me sometimes
Today I opened up the hood of my RX7 after 6 months. She was just sitting on my driveway for 6 months, unattended (I dont drive it in winter and I dont have a garage yet). The battery was empty and some coolant was missing. I connected the starter (great gadget btw) and turned the ignition. After only 5 cranks it came to life. I was so amazed. I was expecting all sorts of problems after the car sat so long.
I'm so proud of it.... as much as anyone cas be proud of their car
I guess its time to put on fresh license plates and go rip out some tarmac

Wow, I hope all you guys spin the egines over for 30 sconds or more before allowing fuel in. By doing that, it gets the oil through the shaft & into the rotor bearings etc. When they sit for many months, everything dries out & that means metal on metal for a couple of seconds......
When my RX-7 was off the road for a while & I pulled the fuel pump relay (circuit relay) prior to starting it. Wound the engine over for around 30 seconds in 3 bursts & then connected the relay.
Made me feel secure knowing the engine wasn't going to chew out 1000km worth of life in 3 seconds of starting up......

just jumpin in quick..You roll the engine over ,,manually..by using a extended handle 1/2 inch rachet with a deep socket (19 mm??)..on the front pulley..roll the engine 3-4 times every other week, takes a couple seconds ..that way the oil gets injected into the housing and it is lubing the engine ahead of time..(for spring start-up)..you could always toss a bit of oil into the housing through the spark plug holes ..roll it over ..and done..til spring..It would smoke alot upon start-up and may foul plugs though..I'm in Canada..and since I couldn't garage my car, I would go out and start it every two weeks..-25 celcius ..she started up fine!!..snow sucks!

If I got it right.....
Plug my battery back in. Connect everything. Open Box Take out the H shaped fuse that corresponds to EGI (I will look for number and color). Get in car. Step on gas and turn key and hold for 30 seconds. Stop. Put the H shaped fuse back in place. Close fuse box cover. Get in car and turn ignition key and PResto!
