thermoswitch connector

I was putting my water pump housing back today, and my thermoswitch connector broke off of the harness. There's no wire at all sticking out of the connector for me to solder to, so does anyone know of someplace I can buy a pigtail or something?

Thanks.

This has happened to me as well. I found out that it was just as easy to buy a new one, instead of fixing the old one.

This is the connector on the harness. To buy a new one, I'd have to buy a new harness, which is a little more than I'd like to spend right now.

On a side note, I seem to remember seeing something about using the PFC to turn the fans on at a lower temp. Am I remembering correctly, and if I am, will I still need the thermoswitch?

If you have the datalogit, you can program the fans manually. The thermoswitch is just a simple spade connection. You can wire it up without the connector.

I should have an extra connector laying around.

You can try removing the rubber plug from the back of the connector. Then, using a long thin blade slid underneath the metal part, you can slide the metal part out the back. Now you have something you can fix. Make sure you put the rubber plug on the wire before you solder.

I did the same thing. Lasted about 4 yrs with no issues. I finally replaced the connector during a rebuild.
