thermal wraping intercooler pipes
off the wall question, would thermal wraping the intercooler piping from the ic to elbow have any significant effect on intake temps? i dont know how much the intake air would reheat as it passes back trhough the piping in the hot engine bay on its way to the intake.....

A stroll through the pits at the Grand Prix de Trois Rivieres where Grand Am Cup cars were racing would prove you correct.
A significant amount of cars had their piping (including normally aspirated cars' intake runners and airboxes) either wrapped or thermoshield taped. Everything from the Speedsource Rx8s, GT3 Cup cars to the Acuras.
I guess if thrmo-wrapping added "bling", everyone would be doing it.

its its funny you should mention "bling"
I work for a grand-am DP team and we call the gold heat sheailding Bling. LOL!! and yes it does help...but probably not much on the street.
