Question Is there a wastegate between IC and Y pipe?

Just wondering...I'm leaking oil from there and i'm gonna take the piping out and clean it

No. I'm not sure EXACTLY what causes this... (turbo's blowing oil?) ... mine does the same thing... Oh well... Car runs good either way!!

Yeah the turbo is leaking...and the oil cooks on the pipe. And it starts to stink...I want to take the piping off and clean it up...and re tighten everything well. Is there anything I can put between the piping to make sure the oil doesn't leak out?

No there isn't anything between the IC and the y-pipe (except a coupling). If you're getting significant oil there your turbos are shot, or you are overfilled your oil. You can try running your oil a 1/2 quart from full and see if that improves things. If the oil is dripping from the coupling or from the y-pipe itself, then you might have a split there, so check on that. Even if you are blowing oil, it shouldn't be leaking out if all the couplings are tight, it would just end up in the IC.

It is the coupling I think. Check it out, there is wet oil all around the connection point...and stains on the y pipe. I think it is definitely leaking from there...also when the guy added the oil...he added almost 5 quarts...i think he may have over done it what do you think?

Well, you can always check the oil using the dipstick, if its over the F, well, you get the idea. FWIW, if you drain all the oil from the pan, you should only be able to fill 4.5qt. One way to check if you have a split in your y-pipe is to squeeze it with something and see if the split shows up.

LoL It's gotta wait till next saturday...I got 15 units of classes and 40 hrs of work...they weren't kidding when they said FD's are tough. Scares the **** out of me. It's strange though...as soon as I'm done with one problem, another one pops up. I can't believe it won car of the year 3 straight years
