One of the reasons for getting a downpipe is to remove the "heat holding" capacity of the precat. Installing a silencer will return some of the heating capacity that the precat had. This is a bad idea.

If you are worried about your car being too loud, install the silencer after the high flow cat. It sounds like you are making a custom exhaust anyway.

most of teh noise comes from the catback you have on teh car not teh dp or midpipe. i run a a 3" midpipe no silenscer and dp, and a stock catback u can hear the car a tad more then when it was with a cat and precat.
u can get teh racign beat catback and it wont be much louder at all and wont drone either. i am kinda pissed actualyl that my car is alittel too quite sometimes, i will have to wait till i get a catback

no i'm making a downpipe and also i've just bought a race cat aswell. I got it for around $330 here in sweden.

Too bad i will have to wait til the middle of april until i get to drive it

But i guess that's good since i have other things to do on the car aswell.
