At what temp is the "Low Temperature Thermostat" fully open? If the termostat only opens at a lower temp and doesn't lower the fully open temp, you're car will only take longer to warm up...

If your looking to lower the coolant temps, you should check out Dale's informative thread regarding fan control:

Wow, even if it's 90f out and I'm stuck in stop and go city traffic, my coolant temps are under 200f if I run my fans for any length of time (I've got the old school switch)... Are you running the stock radiator?

Any way you can bring direct fresh air to the radiator will help. Some people duct under the FMIC to bring fresh air:

Depending on how you drive, wouldn't that pull the hot air off the IC onto your radiator? I guess some airflow is better than none.

I though there was a thread years ago about someone using a TII switch which screwed right in, has the same connector and has a lower turn on temp?

If you can't get fresh air to it and/or block air from going around it, the orientation isn't going to matter all that much. Ihor spelled it out really well in that link I posted above.

I concur with Mahjik, sounds like you need to do some custom ducting to get fresh air from the front or bottom of the car to the radiator and the hot air coming off the IC out of the engine compartment (vented hood?). You might also consider a different bumper...

I believe you are talking about the FC thermo switch. It would be useless for the OP because he has grounded his fans to run on "high" speed all the time.
