is there a fuse here?

i searched but couldn't find the answer. is there a fuse in the stock fd non-bose stereo amp? i changed radios because my display light was burned out and i can only get a very faint sound with the volume all the way up. sounds like the amp is off, but i thought i'd get some input before removing the tranny hump trim. any help is greatly appreciated since i'm about to go nuts on the longer driving days i have without a radio.
thanks,
andy

Need some more info. I assume you have a non-Touring car. Did you swap out the stereo with a stock stereo or aftermarket?

The non-Touring cars only have an amp for the center speaker - all the other speakers run straight off the head unit, there is no separate amp. There is a fuse for the stereo, but if it was blown, you'd likely have no sound.

dale,
i always thought i had a touring. i have leather and a sun roof, but no bose. i swapped the stereo with two other stock units. i have checked all the fuses on the fuse panel under the dash and they are all o.k. i don't know if the vin can tell you if it's a touring or not, but let me know if there's any other info you need. your help is greatly appreciated since i'm going nuts from the silence.

It sounds like you have a PEP. What year is it?

Is the replacement stereo from a non-bose car?
