is it nessasary to use new gaskets and replace the rubber O-ring that goes between the two Y-pipe halves??

 

To do it right you will need:

3 x N3A1-13-712
1 x N3A1-13-162

Should only cost a total of $25 max at the dealer.

 

Are you replacing the Y-pipe with stock or the Efini. If it's the Efini Y-pipe, it should have been shipped with necessary o-rings for replacement. If u are replacing with the stock Y-pipe then go with the previous post.

Mine came with a new o-ring and new gaskets for each flange. Bought it from Ray at SR. I could have reused one of the gaskets, but the other one broke when I pulled off the stock y-pipe. The old o-ring didn't look in great shape either. I say, as long as you're in there, replace it.
