theft prevention

i would have posted this in the other thread but its been locked. Just thought i should mention the idea that my friend suggested to me of installing a switch for the clutch and hide it somewhere a thief wont find it. You flip the switch and walk away and if someone breaks into your car, they wont be able to start it since the clutch pedal wont work. He has done it on his own car , 300zx, and says it is pretty simple. I dont know how its done or anything yet.

Naw you gotta go hardcore. Have a bottle of propane with a nozzle hooked up to it right underneath the doors. Then have a lighter hooked up and a system so that when your car alarm goes off it will make a fireball at the feet of anyone trying to steal your car. Or you can rig up a peice of metal about 2 feet long with a pivot on one end. Weld the other part of the pivot on to the frame by the door and then hook up a garage door opener spring onto the other end. Then hook it up so when your alaram goes off the spring is released and swings right at the shins of the perp. Now that's theft detterent there

The thread was locked because there was a link to a discussion on the topic already.

Besides, it still won't stop anyone from towing the car away. If they want it, they will get it....
