Every engine will heat soak when shut off, unless you run the fans after shutdown, or open the hood. I always run the fans before shutdown, to get the engine as cool as possible before I turn it off. I believe that this helps prolong the life of all the rubber and plastic components in the engine bay.

Are your fans working?
As an experiment, drive the car around, come back home and let the car idle. Watch your temps as the car idles and see if they just keep rising or if they level off with the fans running. If the temp levels off, report back at what temp that is. If it doesn't level off but it keeps climbing past 110C, you have a problem.

To determine if a possible lack of coolant flow is causing the temperature rise, run the engine (in neutral, sitting still) at somewhere above your normal idle RPM (say 12-1500) and see what the temperature does. If it stabilizes lower, you have a coolant flow problem (WP aftermarket pulley not spinning the WP fast enough?). If it is worse, the problem is not enough air flowing thru the radiator. IMO, there are only these two possibilities.
EDIT: Where are you measuring the coolant temperature? Is it possible that you are measuring it in a location that would see higher temps at slower RPM's (like at the thermostat housing) due to slower water flow thru a hot engine? The stock temperature sender location is probably not the hottest point in the engine.

I have this exact same problem
I run an M2 large SMIC with a big fiberglass duct and just installed a KOYO rad. I noticed that my temps while driving are about 5*C less but at idle they are much higher sometimes going all the way to 100*C on a 93*F day
I'm also interested in possible solutions, right now im thinking a vented hood would be a good way to compensate for the increased idle temp since the car runs fine on the highway.

i did the experiment last night...at night NO problems...daytime when the street is hot and the car idles whether is 500rpms or 3k rpms it SSLLLOOWWLLY climbs...i dont see why it would level out...is it safe to see if it will level out past 215F?
