temp gauge pinned on hot- oil pressure gauge pinned on 80-120
My 93 RX7's temp gauge went straight to boil, but I don't think the car was boiling. Then it would not start back up. Gauge also jumping erratically from hot to pinned.
Oil pressure gauge bouncing all over the place. Going from 20- 60 normal to 60-120.
Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.

Check your rad and see if there is any coolant left in the thing. I don't want to tell you what the same symptoms meant for me. Just check the fluid level and report back.

one time it started and then i thought id drive it around and try to cool it off and brought it back and shut it off and came out 2 min lat and it whould not start. just kept cranking over and over and it almost started one off those times.in the mean time with the ing on the temp was just pinned and jumping from the top white line to the red light and then i checked the water when it got a little cooler and it was at the topwhile the gauge was still jumping.

It sounds like an o-ring is letting go. Water is getting into the housing and keeping it from turning over. I hope for your sake, that isn't what's happening. If so, you're going to need a rebuild. Wait for the car to cool completely down and try to start it again. If you get the car running check the exhaust. See if there is any white smoke coming out. If so, it's probably an o-ring.

If it is "white" smoke, either way, it's coolant getting into the housing. Just see if it has the tell-tale sweet smell of coolant. If so, a seal is going on you.

If the car turns over with the plugs out, spin it a few more times to clear out anything in the chambers. Put in some new plugs and (with a jump in place and with the radiator cap off) try to start the car. If the car starts read the gauge. If the Temp gauge is still pegged then you have some electrical problem. If not run the car until you get to operating temp. Look for tiny bubbles in the filler neck... if they appear you likely have an o ring problem.

If you still get clicking sounds, remove the starter and have it checked out. If it is good, then you probably have seized the engine somehow. Could be anything from a seized release bearing to a cracked rotor. If the starter is bad then get a rebuilt one.
