I have a pettit unlimited ecu right now and i'm thinking of getting either a PFC or a HALTECH. I have heard alot of postive and negitive things about both of the units. I have a T04S turbo in mt car and was wondering which of these units are best suit for T04S??????? i need to know asap cause jason is having a ****** good deal on the PFC groupbuy.

I would recommend the PowerFC only if you can get to someone nearby to get it dyno tuned (with the Power Xcel software), especially with your setup. I really like how it treats my car, even though it still is relatively stock.

You can't beat the price on that new PFC group buy!

That being said, even though the Haltech may be overkill and a PITA to install, you (yourself) will be able to do alot more with it with regards to tuning; especially since you are running a good sized turbo.

I believe that even the base map within the PFC will be good for your setup; unless you have many other mods; different injector sizes, etc.

If I were you, and had the money, I would get the PFC, install it and try it out. You can always sell it later for what you got it for, as that price is probably as low as it will get for a LONG time.

Side Note:

A person that is on this forum and lives in the area has a close to 400 safe HP on his car with a TO4E, PFC and a good rebuild with minor porting; he had it tuned at XS. When I rode in his car I felt no lag but man did that thing pull like a bull! Here's a link to his car: carcrazy

Get the Power FC. I have the Power FC and Commander and I love this unit. I'm going with the GReddy T-78 setup in January. I talked to Dave from KD Rotary and he said the Power FC will work great with my setup. He said so many great things about the Power FC. I thought I had to sell my unit just because I'm going to go all out on my Rex with mods. Also, I heard the Haltech is a bitch to install. With the Power FC you just slap that **** on and start up your car. However, I think you should send it out to XS first to have them tune it for you then slap that **** on.

if your gonna run less than 17 psi go pfc
if your gonna run more than 17 go haltec

stock map sensor can't see more then 17psi so either u have to get boost controllkit(400$) or get xs to uses excell sotware to get the pfc to run a new map sensor...

the price will be the same if u go haltec or pfc&bcc
but haltc will be less hassle

Your best bet is to take a little road trip to have the car tuned on the dyno. Either RP here in TX or KDR in PA.

Prolly not the answer you wanted to hear, but road trips are fun . Besides, the Power FC kicks ***...you'll love it :p
