t-78 or quick spoolin twins?

I'm currently on a projected path to about 425 rwhp and wanted a couple questions answered.

Is there any quick spoolin twins the can make 425 easy without the benefits of nitrous? (bottles are for babies)

What hp numbers can i expect with a greddy t-78? im pretty much stage v without boost controller, plus i haven other stuff above that..its time for the upgrade and i need help.

What do you plan on using the car for? 1/4, autocross, street racing?

No autocrossing here....did that with my prelude...embarassin to say the least

why are you switching from a good intake to a not so good one?

If you are going for 425rwhp then I would go with a GT35/40 with upgraded injectors, fuel rail, fpr and 18-20psi. That will give you a faster spool up time than the T-78 however still deliver the power that you want. If you go with the T-78 then it takes too long to spool up and you are playing "catch-up" instead of walking then down the strip Quick spooling twins that deliever the power you are looking for is none existant (as far as I know). Brian at BNR does make some nice upgraded twins capable of around 400rwhp but they take some time to spool up as well.

I always thought the HKS intake looked cool.... LOL.

No, apex willl work, i just wanted to test it... friend of mine said his hks worked better for him.

I definitly want to be walking there asses not blowing past them. So basically, the gts will work.

Gimme a price and place to look.

Also, whats mods should i look into becomin a snake eater ( and no, its has nothing to do with a Ford)

apexi intake has the best hp rating out of all the other intakes according to a study that was done by someone. If you get a single turbo then it is not going to matter because you will have to get a different one anyways. Look at the www.rx7store.net in the turbo section for the GT35/40 and some other options that you have. You will need 1600cc injectors (might be able to get away with 1300cc depending on your max boost), if you go with thte 1600cc's then you need a fpr, and fuel rail. You need to get an agressive street port if you really want to get into some more power but that requires a lot of work and/or money. You will have to get a midpipe because the single will sit where your airpump currently resides. I think that is about it....someone help me, I'm forgetting something.

I would suggest getting a fpr anyways. You've got a fuel pump, so why not use it!

I would go with a T-04S at 18 psi and a good size street port/exhaust port. You'll be happy with that...
