switching oil, conventional to synthetic

switching oil, conventional to synthetic
During the break in on my engine I used conventional oil. I'd like to switch to synthetic (i run premix). Since the engine has already had conventional, is there anything special I need to do in order to switch to synthetic? (I'm getting a new filter as well)
Thanks.

I think it would all depend on the synthetic grade you're going to use. You might want to keep running the "dyno" oil unless you're going to run a OMP adapter to inject straight 2 stroke oil via a separate reservoir. Synthetic oil surely would be great in the crankcase but buildup is an "issue" when it comes to OMP injection.

Admittedly anecdotal. And I don't have alot of personal experience with rebuilds. Haven't searched for a while, but I have an open mind and willing to read anything you or the experienced builders here have to document inordinate buildup from modern synthetic.

I personally used to run mobile 1 20w50 but I talked to someone, (this is probably not true) that was telling me mobile one synthetic is not a true synthetic oil. I run Royal Purple 20w40 - this is the perfect weight for my car I feel.
