Talking Swapped Secondaries And Found Fuel Leak...

Well I Took Off The Manifold This Weekend And Proceeded T0 Swap Out My Secondary Injectors. Yesterday I Removed The Old Ones And Installed The New Ones. While I Was In There I Was Investigating The Fuel Smell That I Have Been Having The Last Couple Of Weeks. I Found The Fuel Pulsation Damper Is Slowly Leaking So I Got To Work This Morning And Ordered A New One, $101.06 After My Employee Discount, Merry Christmas Huh? Not Too Bad Though For Peace Of Mind And Resolving A Fuel Leak. Hopefully Now With The New Injectors The Car Will Finally Run Like It Should, And If So Then This Will Have Been A Worth While Affair. If Not, Then I Will Wish That I Left The Fuel Leak And Had The Car Caught Fire And Collect Insurance, lol! My Secondary Injectors Did Not Appear To Be Faulty Visually, So I Hope The New Ones Take Care Of The Problem.....

You talking about the PVC and the line hooking up to the air intake for turbos? The answer would be no, it needs to vent somewhere or you'll build up a lot of pressure, which will lead to a oil leak. I hooked up a oil catch can.

Make sure you replace the fuel injector insulators when installing new injectors.

I feel your pain - I spent hours and hours tearing down to the rats nest trying to test and see if my injectors were good - and no test I could conduct at home found the leakage or the tendency of the injector to stick at partial load. So when I installed the injectors it was just literally throwing money at the problem (however, it was a very well-educated guess). It fixed my issues. Knock on wood, you've taken care of the problem too.

The new injectors should have new o-rings on them - and like R.Ex.7 said, replace the injector grommets too (they are the rubber rings that sit in the block - there are one per injector). They are there to seal fuel vapors, and if you have had any leakage they are often shot. Grommets + FPD + secondaries w/o-rings = a good fix.

As for the PCV, it was eliminated in the 95s - I would investigate that setup if you need or want to remove them.

Im In The Same Boat As You Were I Believe, And I Hope I Have Fixed The Problem. Like You I Have Tested The Injectors Myself, Cam At Pettit Tested Them And Before All Of This They Were Flowed And Matched W/new Caps And O-rings Last Summer. But With Mine And Cams Testing We Have Never Found A Problem With The Injectors. I Guess That Can Be Totally Different When They Are Under Load Rather Than Just Being Benched. So, New Injectors Fixed Your Issues? I Hope This Does The Trick. When I Was At Pettit Cam Found The Problem To Be Too Much Fuel And He Tested Everything That There Is And Found Nothing. I Talked To Him Friday And Says That He Is Very Confident That The Problem Is With The Secondary Injectors. Im Gonna Cross My Fingers And Hope He Is Correct Cuz I Am So Tired Of A Year And A Half Of Dead Ends And Thousands Lost......

Both in my case. A primary was leaking, and a secondary was sticking closed at partial load.

How Did You Find The Problem, Just By Simply Installing A New Set Of Injectors?

Yes, I got a set of low-mileage injectors that had just been through RC Engineering.

My 'bad' set went through cleaning at WitchHunter, and are apparently working well in Cgotto6's car.
