Question Swapped in a 94 FD engine

I have a 1992 FD and recently (last year) blew the engine pretty good. I picked ap a 1994 engine that looks to be in pretty good condition. Everything mates up fine under the hood, but I am having a problem with the wiring harness. The wiring is way different on the inside of the firewall. The plug going from the CPU to the dash is different, about 8 less wires on the 94. Does any one have a good schematic of that connector? I have to cut my old one off and splice it in, but I don't want to mess it up. That is all I am waiting on to finish this little project.

Help!

could it be because one is for an auto tranny?

In any case, I just installed a new wiring harness on my 94. It came with an extra plug that didn't go anywhere. The wiring diagram should show you pretty clearly what the extra plug does - you can d/l that from the stickied thread at the top of this forum.

Out of curiosity, is your extra plug a blue one? (I have an extra as well)

It is the white one that lugs in to the fire wall right where the harness comes through from the engine bay. My car at some point in its life used to be an automatic (educated guess?). When I bought the car it was a manual. I put in the 1994 manual harness. I will check the stick forumn to se the wiring diagram. I have a manual for a 93 and a 94, but nothing for a 92. That is the one I need.

Well...I picked up a 1992 manual dash harness. (the one that runs along the firewall INSIDE the car.) X-14 plug went in nice and smooth. New problem The Auto Front harness doesn't fit the manual engine harnes X-05 connecter. Did a search and found a great post on what wires go where. To bad my X-05 connecter doesn't match the 93-94 wiring diagrams. I have 11 wires, not 10. What is the extra Br/Y wire for? Is it a 96 and up thing? My new engine was supposed to be a 94. Any help?
