Question suspenion removal help

the last time i changed out the struts on a car was my 06 STI. i have a 95 Rx7 and im attempting to remove the struts to install coilover and damn i am having one hell of a time getting those things off the car. is there something i need to do. i really hate to drop the control arms. any help will help

soak with PB Blaster. try using an impact or extend the wrench for leverage. use a hammer.

btw... the control arm will not move if the other side is not released. so you have to unscrew both left/right.

hello

You really hate to drop the control arms,
then you are trying to remove the rear kits.
Stock ones ? or coilovers ?

If coilovers, quite easy, the rear stabilizer brackets must be removed.

Currently the stock suspention is on the car. i have everything un-bolted. i'm just have trouble compressing the strut to wingaling it out from the car. im only on the front. i haven't even started on the back.

take the upper control arm off, keep it attached to the spindle though. that will give you enough room to remove your strut. thats what i did and it was easier than a hooker
