Question Sunroofs on the FD's (ie. 93 CYM)

Do all FD's come with a sunroof? It is sometimes very
hard to tell from the pictures. I am especially interested
in whether the '93 CYM's (R1?) came with them?

CYM was only available on 93 R1s. R1s and R2s did not come with sunroofs. Base models did not come with sunroofs either. Only Touring and PEP/PEG packages had them.

Also, due to the shape of the FD roof, an aftermarket sunroof will not work.

You can get this info on websites, check the newbie sticky at the top.

No sunroof in the "R1 or R2" models.

However in Canada there are base model CYM's that may be able to be found with sunroof's ask someone from Canada.. ; )

There were many odd changes for the FDs, especially in 93. Alot of mistakes were made and some models got things they weren't supposed to have.

If you are tall, much over 6' 1" you might want to consider no sunroof. It's a tight fit for me.

Geeez, I'm only that tall in my mind!

My '91 has a sunroof, and I like it but sometimes it's finicky (actually my first car with any sunroof at all), so at this point I was just thinking that if all else was equal and one car had one and the other did not, I might be tempted to take the car with the sunroof. If non of the CYM are supposed to come with a sunroof and I'm stuck on that colour then the point is moot.

The link to the 'buyer's guide' was great, but now that I know that there were a number of different combinations shopping and comparing will be more difficult too bad that there wasn't a spread sheet comparing all of the features based on model and year, sort of a quick guide?

It's hard to decide on buying a used FD 7-9 years old versus possibly waiting for the RX-8 and ordering exactly what you want

Uh NO. There weren't a lot of mistakes and there weren't any Base or R models with sunroofs.
