Suggestions (car not running right)?

Another new guy to the rotary scene looking for some help. I have 93 R1 single turbo with all the goodies that go with the conversion. My problem is that one day I was sleeping my brother decided to take my car for a drive and filled it with 87 octane fuel. Needless to say my car was running like crap. It was only driven a few miles and not hard. I drained the fuel out but it still runs terrible. Previously ran fine until this incident. When idleing it jumps back and forth between 1000 and 1500 rpms a few times and then dies out completely. It restarts no problem but does the same thing. When I rev the engine it just doesn't seem to have the same grunt. I was hoping one of you could give me some direction to start my trouble shooting. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Yes, I think your brother blew your motor.

I just started it, with me keeping rpm's around 1500 vacum is around 10. When I left off of the throttle vacum would go to 0 shake a bit and die out. There was also a lot of smoke from the exhaust.

Just get a compression test done first. If the compression check out fine, then you can troubleshoot other areas.
