Question subframe/motor mount removal - pics?

I have read up on every thread for this and found good info but no pics. I need some pics of the subframe dropped and what I am in store for. It makes it so much easier for me to do work on this car with pics. I am attempting to replace motor mounts and reseal the oil pan, install an oil pan brace and engine torgue brace. I want no movement. no leaks. who knows how much vibration this will cause with this setup. I plan to get the urathane mounts. pics please if they are out there!!!

Do you not have access to an engine hoist? You should be able to lift the engine with enough space to do the oil pan without removing the subframe.

ok. I will just jack the tranny and see what I can do. if it works I saved about a 1000$. if anybody else has some pointers that would be great. I trust Mahjik almost like a bible since he is one. I have learned so much through threads that he was giving up info. thanx Mahjik. let me know if there is anything else I should be aware of.

Engine hoist man! Jacking tranny alone won't do it. Need to lift engine.

I sure wouldn't be sticking my hands in there with some "_rigged" jacking setup.

Technically, since the engine will still be bolted to the tranny, the engine is only going to raise as far as the tranny will allow it to go (since it will hit the top of the tranny tunnel). As long as he can do it "safely", jacking the tranny should result in the same effect.

yeah I got the http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/oil_pan_removal.html writeup. seems pretty straight foward. (we will find out). I am going to get the car up on ramps in front and jack stand the rear. then I was going to unbolt the mounts and disconnect the intercooler and maybe the air box. then carefully jack the tranny until it touches the tranny tunnel. I read you can then place small pieces of 2x4 between the subframe and engine to keep the clearance to get the oil pan out. does this sound like a plan? remove and replace motor mounts and reseal oil pan. hopefully I am on the right track. learning as much as possible before I get under there.

I got a quote for $750.00 for them to replace motor mounts and reseal oil pan. they said they would throw the oil pan brace and engine torque brace in for free. this is not including the price for motor mounts or any parts. shop is good and they did my downpipe but it is 70 miles away and I don't have that much money to throw for that. this I will try myself. hopefully I can be successful and feel real good about saving hundreds of dollars. tips and pointers are good.
