Im in need of some major help because my car is going for a major meltdown. Ok the car just starting stuttering and bucking under very little gas. when at full throttle it runs great. The other day when it was bucking the check engine light came on so i shut off the car and started back up and ran it for 20 minutes and it didnt come back on. Just recently my car started idling at 1000 going up to 1500 and back down over and over then it would just even out at 1200. If this has ever happened to anyone any help would be much appreciated. thanks

 

Check the TPS. sounds like it has gone bad, there are many threads that show how to ajust and test it, search for TPS, you'll find alot of results.

also try resetting your ECU, i had a similar problem a while ago, i reset the ecu and tightened up the battery terminals and it was fine right after.

Reset the ecu by disconnecting battery and holding the brake for 20 seconds
