stupid driver's side window
well my window always seems to get stuck when it's about 1/4 of the way up.
dont think it's the window motor, because it goes up just fine when i spray
some wd 40 down the side of the window (next to the outer door handle).
it also rolls down perfectly. everytime i roll the window up, i have to pull
the window to the right (when sitting in the driver's seat).
is this a sign of a faulty window seal? or is my window motor going out?

I had the same issue with my series 8.
I pulled the door trim off and adjusted the rail... Basically pulled it towards the back of the door, then put a washer in an tightened it up. Problem solved.
You shouldn't really have to lubricate the the rails; thats a bit of a bandaid solution. In the past my cars have collected dust and grit which stuck to the lube and actually got worse over time- had to pull the rail and window out and clean it all up to get it working again.

Same problem here. Except mine get stuck when its almost to the the top. I just pull the buttom up again and it goes up. Only happens on occasion and sometimes it takes two or three times to get the window up all the way. The passenger side button works fine, on both the drivers side door and passenger side door. Your motor might be going bad, I suspect that with mine as well.

driver side acts up, but the passenger side window switch "works just fine"? sounds like high resistance in your driverside switch. mine's doing the exact same thing. i can't pin-point the problem cause i hate wiring, but i know for a fact that's what's wrong with mine

Thats a bit tough since it's all back together now, but, it's a pretty simple process... Once you pull the trim off you can see the adjuster bolt and be able to move it and tighten it accordingly.
If you pull the trim off you can clearly see what needs to be done
