Alright this has happened twice or three times. I was driving pretty hard, shifted into third..and the rpms just stayed at 3k...the trick is, I think I didnt let the clutch all the way out right away...I was kind of gunning it but not switching gears hard...what is this ****??? The clutch seems to be fine cuz when I switch gears hard I peel out in second...

letme get this straight

you up shift 2nd to 3rd, and when you release the clutch, it gets stuck at 3k rpm no matter how long you floor it?? if its this i have no idea..


or is it you up shift to third and the rpms drop to 3k, ... ..
i think you probably jammed it in 5th instead of third, its a pretty common occurance in 93 fd's shifting 1-2-5.. somthing to do with it having a weak 5th gear sprng mechanism( excuse my lack of specific terms) and also the way the engine pulls during hard accel
