Strange Oil Pressure Problem
Hello,
I have been having a weird problem with something relating to my oil pressure, I think. Under a hard acceleration I will watch the oil pressure needle go way up, almost to the top...then the power seems to go away. So, the car won't accelerate the way it's supposed to - it'll go but then get bogged down by something. I thought maybe I had too high of a weight of oil that was slowing something down, but I changed the oil back to a 10W, and it still happens. There aren't any CEL codes popping up, so what should I do?

I think the oil pressure indication and the no power condition are unrelated. The pressure should come up with the revs, and sometimes the sending unit can go bad and give faulty readings (usually low), but oil pressure isn't going to bog the car down, most likely.
