strange boost issue

strange boost issue
I tried searching and could not find a related topic. If someone could point me to a thread i would appreciate it.
A couple weeks ago my secondary stopped coming online. My air filters were in very poor condition and the plastic on them was brittle and cracked. up untill today I had just figured that what happened was a piece of plastic from the cone filter had cracked off and been sucked into the compressor. It would no longer boost and it made a funny duck quacking noise, like the secondary was trying to spool but couldnt. I thought my turbo was shot. and had been driving it on only the primary turbo since then.
Today all of the sudden the car started boosting again. I was shocked. I did a few pulls and it boosted every time. I took the car home and the next time I went to drive it it would not boost anymore. I also noticed that after the transition period my oil pressure would fluctuate rapidly. It would jump from 120 to 80 or 90. This might help solve my problem but I have no idea how the boost relates to oil pressure? I did not notice this before today.
