Are you trying to replace the outside door handle?
You unbolt it from inside after removing the cover plastic.
Then you'll be able to pull the assembly out from the outside.
carefully remove rods, a wire i think that runs under a couple of metal tabs that hold it down and the lock itself is held in by a clip.
I replaced my girlfriends handle about 2 months ago, didn't prove to be too much hassle for me.

You don't even have to remove the wire... I didn't atleast. Just the metal rod, everything else just needs to be moved to the side, like the metal lever that is screwed down to the spring loaded clip... just remove the screw and pull up the lever and push it to the side. Then remove the two plastic pieces that hold down the metal rod (I think they were labeled by the letters A and B) and then push out the rod from the little end towards the big end.
I took me about 20min to do the passenger.
30 for the drivers because I have to replace the lock also.
I will see if I can take some pics for ya but it will have to wait til next week, finals are killing me.
