I'm running a about 14.5 or close to 1 bar, although my engine has a rather nice port. See signature for mods.

watch your injector duty numbers... you could push 14.5 psi on the stock twins, but you need the fuel to compensate for it. As far as your 13 psi goal, you should be fine on the stock fuel system. With my mods I run 14.5 psi .

i guess my goal is really more around 12... i don't wanna strain the fuel system at all and i don't wanna replace it yet... that's money that could be well spent on exhaust etc. i was just trying to get a feel for what kinda boost i could do without stressing the twins. any ideas on what type of power difference it could make going from the stock 10psi to 12psi?

I still have the original SMIC, and I run 12psi. Sometimes, when it's really cold though, I'll hit .97 BAR (14psi). I, however, have a 255 lph pump and 1300cc secondaries. Stock 10 psi to 12 psi might add about 20-30hp at the wheels. Depending on your car's condition, of course.

I think you can run 13psi quite safely. 14 sometimes, but then you're risking your engine already.

Red, my FD has 32k on it and is in EXCELLENT condition (all bragging aside) even the dealer couldn't find anything to screw me into paying for you're running 12psi on the origional stock intercoller? i didn't think it could handle that?! cruiser, are you saying that 13 should be safe for the engine?

I ran 12psi on the racetrack with stock IC for a couple of laps. It held fine.

I'll do it with 13psi once I get my PFS SMIC.

I am building my car right now and will be running almost Identical mods as you are. I am just wondering what kind of horse power you are pulling. How is your turbo lag with the stock sequential turbos and a ported motor. Also what kind of duty cycles are you running with the 850's.

Thanks for you help.

Skip and Dave at KDR told me 12psi was fine on the stock IC. My 1300cc secondaries keep the fuel coming, and Virginia winters are brutally cold. (Well, they may not be THAT cold to most people, but I'm from the Mojave Desert in California.)
