Stock Twin Turbo Intake Housing Adjustability Diagram?

So.... can someone show me or has pictures of where are the bolts that make the intake housing on the turbos adjust? I just got a rebuild done and even though everything fits okay the ypipe is hitting the fuel rail/LIM.

the first pic is before the second is after

Do the oil and water lines line up? If so, you need to rotate just the compressor housing, which is held on by a snap ring on the backside - good luck getting it off and on with the turbos installed.

If the oil and water lines don't line up, you'll have to rotate the whole CRHA which is held in by 6 bolts and 3 flat plates. I'm 99.9% certain you can't do it with them bolted up to the motor so you'll have to pull the turbos.

PM replied.

Also here's a pic of the turbos removed, you can see the snap ring on the rear:

You can "try" to yank on the y-pipe to pull both housings back a little bit. It's easier to do when you have the Efini Y-pipe installed, but you may be able to do it so you don't have to deal with the snap rings.

Grab a big pry bar, wrap it with a rag and stick it in the y-pipe. Doesn't sound like a pretty solution but you should be able to rotate the compressor housing.

^+1 ...maybe... if the snapring goove is clean (which it looks like it likely if) but its' not it will be TIGHT and may or may not rotate.

If it comes down to it that snap ring is a bee-eye-ah-ch. I've disassembled/reassembled a few sets of the twins and short of buying a giant set of snap ring pliers I use a set of long handle...long nose "needle nosed" pliers....with the turbo in a vise so you can really hold it steady.

FWIW,
Crispy

Tried that once with my Y-pipe installed - broke my nice Efini y-pipe! If it would have broken the compressor housing I REALLY would have been pissed.

Bite the bullet, pull the turbos, adjust, and do a few trial fits to make sure everything lines up.

If it doesn't rotate with a few nudges don't force it. You shouldn't break anything. YOu can try to pry inside the compressor housing too.
