Your right RotaryRX-007! Just checked my ECU and it has the Pettit computer upgrade. Maybe I'm safe. Still going to have it checked out though! Where is the closest shop to me(southern Kentucky). I'm thinking RX-7 store in Columbus,OH(270 miles away!!).

dude 270 miles to go for a good shop isn't all that bad, my car will only see pineapple or FD3S engineering up in portland and thats about a 100 miles one way, and I will gladly make the trip since I know they know their stuff. I'd drive even farther if I had to.

Atleast you have 1 piece of the puzzle. I would stay out of the throttle until you get the rest figured out for sure.

Wickedly fast? Yes. Dangerous as hell? Absolutely. Am I still on the same motor... no.
It's been done on stock fuel system with race gas not pump gas. You may have gotten away with it on pump gas but not long term.

Most people with a blown motor say it was running great right before it popped.

I am running a pettit unlimited ecu but I use a manual boost controller and rarely ever go above 14psi. go get yourself a ball/spring boost valve and bypass the stock boost controller for the time being to get the boost down a bit.
