Stock oil cooler relocation?
Has anyone relocated their stock oil coolers so they get better air flow?
One of them is much higher than the other one (is that normal?...), and neither is really located in the optimal place to line up with the ducts in my aftermarket bumper.
Or would this require modifying the hoses?

You’ll have to pull off your bumper and see if anything is bent. I built my own ducts and mounts for 25 row coolers and a modified plate less ‘99 bumper, they are positioned a lot better than where the stock ones were mounted, and with the ducts and high flow thermostat the temps are super stable

The stock oil coolers can really only mount where they mount. With enough effort you absolutely can put them somewhere else but once you see how they're actually mounted, you'll see that would be pointless just to move them forward a few inches. If you're going to go through the trouble then just upgrade them.

Yeah the stock R1/R2 dual oil coolers should be the same height on each side. If not something is goofy.
Before experimenting I would document oil temps and have a 100% positive case that you need to do something. Then after making the modification you can test again and prove you made a difference.
The stock oil coolers really do a fine job.

One of them is barely in the air stream. The other would benefit from a bit of ducting.

Take it off, see what's bent

I have had it off many times, but it’s not really obvious what was bent. Both fenders got bent in a front on collision with a soft crash pad. The previous bumper was damaged beyond repair.
The frame seemed fine.
Wish the body shop had bothered to look at the ground clearance when they painted my new bumper…
