Aftermarket Oil cooler? Summit?
I am looking into an aftermarket oil cooler for my TII project...what type of fittings and adapeter and hoses would i need to put a summit one in?
I have had clients in the past buy the cheep oil coolers and thay exploded on them I would stay with the factoty stuff just because we all know it will hold up to the heat and the PSI of the rotary.
BUT that is just my 00.2 cents worth

Well I am just looking into it...because I'm taking of the whole front end, puttin in a new radiator, intercooler, bumper cover and front fenders so i was thinking if i should change the oil cooler too.......so just leave it? sounds good........less spending for me...thanks guys
Tell you what... you have more money than sense, so you you can just paypal me the money you were going to spend on a new oil cooler and use the stock cooler, and have a better cooler than you can buy anyway.

Just clean the stocker up real good, maybe acid dip it or something and get it polished real nice. It'll look as good as aftermarket and perform much better.
Am I right in thinking that most aftermarket coolers don't include the thermal pellet thingy to control the oil flow through the core? I'm not really sure.

The thermal pellet is on the front of the eccentric shaft, behind the shaft pulley nut.
I would just get some nice stainless braided lines for the stock oil cooler, make sure its in good working order, and call it a day..

).Remember though that the stocker is aluminium and would polish up quite nicely. Combined with some braided lines as mentioned, it'd look sweet, and work fine.
