This is a popular conversion here in Australia for the series-6 (92-95) & series-7 (96-98) guys. (standard on the series-8 of 99-02 as we all know)
Have done this several times already. Remove the oil pressure gauge. Your low-oil level light is now your only way of knowing if your oil is low, but those oilpressure gauges are troublesome anyway.
Or, what I do is get the oil pressure "switch" from earlier rotaries & install that in place of the pressure sender. Wire the switch to the same wire from the sump float level switch & either of them (low oil level or pressure) will now activate the light.
Fit the boost gauge & find power on the back membrane to run it. Run a seperate wire from the MAP sensor (input to the ECU) up to the boost gauge & solder in place.
BINGO, everything should work.
Its that easy.
