stock boost gauge?

whats up everyone i wanted to find out if you can get the stock boost gauge from 99 spec gauge cluster working by hooking it up to the map sensor signal wire and if it is possible what color is the wire i, already searched thanks in advance.

I would think so, but your looking at like 900ish for the JDM gauges.

i already have the gauge cluster i got it for free, i remember reading that it would work but i wanted to know if someone had already done it.

the car is off and gas gauge is not reading because the fuel pump harness is disconected, does anyone know what color is the MAP sensor signal wire?

This is a popular conversion here in Australia for the series-6 (92-95) & series-7 (96-98) guys. (standard on the series-8 of 99-02 as we all know)

Have done this several times already. Remove the oil pressure gauge. Your low-oil level light is now your only way of knowing if your oil is low, but those oilpressure gauges are troublesome anyway.

Or, what I do is get the oil pressure "switch" from earlier rotaries & install that in place of the pressure sender. Wire the switch to the same wire from the sump float level switch & either of them (low oil level or pressure) will now activate the light.

Fit the boost gauge & find power on the back membrane to run it. Run a seperate wire from the MAP sensor (input to the ECU) up to the boost gauge & solder in place.

BINGO, everything should work.

Its that easy.

thanks for the reply DMRH the gauge has power it just needs a signal do you remeber what color the MAP sensor signal wire?
