On the 93 FD, you need to pull off the top relief valve from the air box. Put a small breather filter on the BOV, it is about 3/4 inch. This will keep the air from backlashing into the BOV and cause a malfunction.

You then need to block off the hole you pulled the tube from on the air box. Parts stores sell rubber caps that work fine.

HHSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!

There you go!

there is a vertical line of two small hoses attached to the airbox. remove the bottom one.

doesnt make the car less reliable, but it does realease oil mist into the engine.

for me, i dont even notice the oil =p

actually that turkey thing sounds like it was compressor surge, which would say the bov was not functioning properly. It should sound like a big wooosh/hisss/swish thing.

they bov and crv are labled. dont disconnect the crv. the bov is the one that makes the wooosh sound. make sure you plug the hole in your airbox as well.

another loud stock bov is surprisingly the volvo s40 1.9T.

A friend replaced the restricting air box with simple intake system and it can be heard from far away.
