Angry Stinkin Mazda

Hello everyone, i am new too the forum, and i need a little help. My 93 RX7 won't start. We had a really bad rain storm a few days ago and since it hasn't started. I have checked all the fuses, batteries fine. Every thing comes on but when i try to turn the key all the way there is nothing. I removed the starter today and took it to auto zone and got it tested and its fine. I tested it myself when i hooked it back up to the car and nothin. I think it might be the starter relay but i have no idea where that could be and none of the auto part stores carry them here. It might be a bad wire somewhere but i dont want to go pay a fee to get it checked if its not that big of a problem. I just had to get the transmission rebuilt so maybe this has something to do with it.. This car has cost me alot but i love it. So if anyone has experianced this problem or have any suggestions i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Clutch switch. If you get nothing... it's most likely this common culprit that matches up to the symptoms you are describing.

double check your remote wire on your starter; it is the small female style connector that attaches to the top of the starter between the two solenoid posts. This connector has a tendency to corrode and break.

There is a test described in the FSM (factory service manual) that will help you pin down your trouble. Actually there are numerous tests. You can view the manual by downloading it if you don't already have it. But yes, definitely check your clutch switch first, as Monkman suggests.

Ignition unit on the back of the ingition barrel, i know these fail a lot on mx5's and iv heard they are the same on rx7's. Its the white plastic thingy (with want of better words) with the wires pluged into on the back of the barrel.

Is there any way to check the Clutch switch, or will i just have to buy a new one. I found it on the clutch pedal and fiddled with it but i guess i am unsure of what to do with it?

Talking

Ok I found the problem. It was the small piece of plastic that is in a circle shape connected to the clutch pedal. It pushes the clutch sensor thing in. So to those who helped me out. You guys rock. I wouldnt have even had a clue. Thanks again. Hope to be talking to you all about the good things soon rather than the bad.
