Still problems with my newly rebuilt engine

Ok . so now thanks to all of you guys i managed to start the engine. I was relieved cause at least the engine block i personally built for the first time turned out to be good. However some problems popped up after starting the engines.

1. Instrument panel ceases to work after the engine is fired and runnning . meaning the mileage counter goes off after i start the engine . I don't get any temperature and tacho reading at all and the oil pressure gauge marks well over the full pressure limit . Will be getting a car electrician this week to check this out for me since i have checked all fuses and relays but they seem to be fine. However any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

2. When the engine is fired it initially runs fine and the exhaust seems to be normal. However as soon as the coolant fans trigger the car starts to smoke like hell and idles very fast. Any idea what might the going on or what i might look for. What might be connected to the cooling fans to trigger such a dramatic effect ? Think it might be something related to the closing of the double throttle or warming up of the car
