Stick shift loose?

Anyone have an idea of what may be wrong with my stick shift in my FD? It has about an 1/4 inch of play if I try to pull the stick shift towards the roof. I have had the damn thing off many times for various clutch installs, ect.

I know it's not the white plastic ring that is always broken (I checked that), but thinking maybe I put in the 3 rings in the wrong way or something. Does anyone have a diagram of how it goes in?

Make sure the wave washers aren't broken or missing. The wave washer clips onto the lower big plastic ring.

Also, is the small rubber boot (3 bolts) in good condition?

Good find Silver! I've been looking for the aluminum ring for a couple years on a website that was english! I think I put the first ring upside down....I will have to check it out tomorrow. Also, how much does it matter to pour a little oil in it like they say to do in the video? I have never done that.
