Steering Column Pod

I know there has been a number of threads with this topic but im not asking about the whole tab issue. I'm trying to find pictures of it installed on peoples cars to see if it blocks the cluster and just how it looks from the drivers view. pics please.

Here's an example of a gauge on top of the column. http://www.robrobinette.com/gauge_install.htm

I have one installed and I think it sits a little lower. If nobody posts a pic, I can take one and send it to you. Just pm me your email address.

It sits in front of the tach. The area it blocks is useless anyways.

My pettit one doesn't block anything, it's infront of the RPM gauge but it doesn't disturb the view of the needle or RPM # . . . . I'll post pictures if i can get a hold of a digi cam.

Fd3BOOST, what brand is that boost gauge? Does anyone else sell gauges with chrome trim?

Just clicked past 31k before I had to put her away for the winter. Even thow it is low mileage, it was hard to watch it pass 29999. As for the pod, I have never had a problem with seeing any of the other gauges. It is a much better place to put it than anywere else.

The Pettit/Mazdaspeed version is the one with the indention. The RX7Store version does not indent. I have the RX7Store version and it still doesn't block anything useful without the indention.

Thanks all of you guys for posting the pics, greatly appreciated. I can tell now that from a driver point of view it would barely block the bottom of the tach. Thank you

Are any of them mounted at different angles compared to the rest? I wasnt sure if some of them would be better for the taller group of guys.

It's SPI. I think they went out of business. It didn't have the chrome ring though.I scavanged that off an autometer gauge. Anyhow hers is another golden oldie.

Fd3BOOST,
I know it's off topic, but are the rest of your gauges SPI, or are they just new faces?

Thank God you got rid of those clowns! Just kidding.

Thanks Fd3BOOST,

I have the pod with an Autometer in it, but my trim is aluminum in color. Guess I'll look around for the chrome. Yours looks very nice.
