Stationary bearings

I'm piecing together a 9.7:1 compression block and I'm having a little trouble making up my mind regarding the e-shaft and stationary bearings.

By the looks of it, the FC and FD e-shafts I have here are virtually identical with exception to a slight difference where the front oil journal is located. My FD e-shaft has some visible wear on the bearing surfaces (oil related issues, I'm guessing), so I'm leaning toward using the FC one since it came with the rotors. I'm planning to replace the bearings on the FC rotors and I expect they'll work with the FC e-shaft.

Should I press 2nd gen stationary bearings into the FD side housings? or do I buy FD stationary bearings measured to fit the FC e-shaft with the proper clearance? My micrometer shows a 0.04mm difference in diameter between the e-shafts across the stationary bearing surfaces. I'm thinking that's close enough to find a match.

If it was me I'd use an FD e-shaft along with new FD stat gear bearings. I have a few spare nice e-shafts, PM me if interested in one and/or in having the new bearings pressed in for ya

is there something wrong with the FC e-shaft? It seems to work for me since I already have one and the rotor bearings will match.

I thought all e-shafts that were 13b were interchangeable.

What are planing to do on the high compression setup?

The plan is to run somewhere between 12-15 psi with WI or AI on pump gas. Later, I'll make the switch to E85 and up the boost a bit more. Target rwhp is in the high 300s.

nothing wrong with it, except that generally speaking FD units will be newer and have less use. If your FC shaft (heh) is mint and the bearings are worn to it already than have at it
