starting problem
I'm not getting any signal from the wire leading to the starter's solenoid.
I first thought it was the ignition switch, changed out - didn't help.
Changed to a new battery - didn't help
traced down the clutch switch and the relay in the kick panel, and jumped them and swap them out with a working one - didn't help.
checked all the cables and didn't see anything loose
is there another relay or switch where the wire to the solenoid is attach to or getting it's signal from?
so for testing purpose, I put a wire to the solenoid and touched it to the positive end of the battery and the car started up.
Could someone please tell me where else to look?

Check another thread on this section called "Intermittent starting issue". It may be your problem.
Dudemaaaaowasanixrx7 (thanks) had a picture in bypassing the security relay that cuts off current to the starter when activated.

Are you talking about the small black conector going to the solenoid? If so I dont undestand y you touching the positive end of the batery.
I got same problem on mine. only mine will start first time, but wont second. did you buy any chance had your vehicle sit for a wile (6 months or so) or you have resinly working on any electrical systems in a vehicle?
what ever it is ill keep an eye on this thread I have a filling this might be same issue as mine.

i had my car sitting for 2 months with thermostat and water pump seal leaking. Replaced these along with some hoses and then went to start the car.
Car crancked and stareted in the first spin. Reved up to 2k or so and died like u swiched it off, or fuel ran out.
Then i try it again would not start. Waited with the ignition on, thinking she ran out of fuel due to long time sitting in the garrage so the pump needs to build up some pressure. Afer about 10-15 sec on ingnition i turned the key and she started again and died just as it was reving up.
Now i cant start it at all.
No mods at all.
i chech the main fuel pump relay as well as the second. all relays look ok, check all fuses as well all good. Took a spark plug out, dray and clean, no flooding at all. so i am thinking fuel pump, but when i jump a positive wire to the second relay (speed control relay) i can hear the petrol running in the fuel pipe behind the intake.
Any Ideas ???????

No, it worked out to be a set of leads that run just behind the pulleys. They have fallen between the crank pulley and crank sensor, telling the ecu that the car is not cranking hens no fuel or spark...
sorry for the late reply i have copleatly forgotten about that as I found it after 2 dasy of digging and was so excited that forgot to post back
thanks thou
