starting issues
Two weeks ago, i started noticing starting issues with the FD. Never had starting issues before this, the car would fire right away all the time (except when it was flooded).
Anyways, what has been happening over the past two weeks is that the car doesn't start on the first try. It would take 10 - 15 tries for the car to fire up. On the first try, the engine would crank but very slowly. With each successive try, the cranking would speed up slightly. And after many tries, the cranking would be at the normal speed and then all of a sudden the car would fire up.
Spark plugs are relatively new (maybe 8 months old). I have been having some coolant issues (air in the system). I am getting to the point where I need a new engine but wont have the money for it for at least a year. I understand that low compressions can sometimes lead to hard starts. I am trying to understand if the symptoms my car is exhibiting can be explained by low compressions. But, I am hoping that the symptoms are related to a bad starter solenoid, etc.
Help on this topic will help.
Thanks,
-Bilal

Have you gone through the engine bay and checked the grounds? It sounds like you have intermittent current draw capabilities. Make sure you remove both terminals from the battery and clean them thoroughly. Do the same for every ground you can find. Also, check your starter itself, the connectors and such.
