So your idle is about 300-500 rpms? I used to have this to. When you turn on the ac what is your idle at? Is your idle stable or is it irreatic?

if the MAP sensor isnt the problem , you should check your fuel pump . spark plugs and reset the ecu ... if all else fails you might have a blown motor i.e the same damn thing happend to me , the best thing to do , is research like crazy. Hope I was some help to ya.

It sounds like you are running rich or just plain have too little air.

Sounds like the symptoms of fouled plugs. When was the last time you changed your spark plugs? It could be your MAP sensor is "unplugged".

It's NOT his fuel pump because the car starts. He needs to concentrate on other stuff other than checking on components that we know work.

Man, I had the same problem this February and I'm still trying to figure out what the hell it was... I'm a rebuild and a Haltech into the situation, only to find I had BAD primary injectors, possibly having been the problem all along. However, I just got back from overseas and haven't been able to work on it since April, so hopefully I can be driving it again soon. I'll let you know if I figure it out

Anyway, check your primaries, and the fuel system.

I just had this problem after putting my UIM back on. Only when I turned on the air at idle my car would idle so low it would actually stall. Turned out some connection behind the UIM (sorry, don't know the names of stuff yet) cam loose a little bit. Plugged it back in tight and everything is running great again. Don't know if this helps, but it's worth a shot.
