Unhappy Starting/idle problems...what can it be now?

well i just had my engine replaced 700 miles ago and now my car is having idle problems. I took my car out last night and it drove absoutely perfect. idle fine etc etc... Well i go to start my car this moring and the car wont start. It only starts when i give the car gas at the same time that i am cranking it over and it stays runnin if i keep tapping the throttle. Once i take my foot off the throttle the car dies. I think it is something with the fuel system but i am not quite sure..

Also my car CEl comes on "09" water theermosensor but then the light turns off after driving around so i think that might jsut be a short and has nothing to do with my idle/starting problem.

a bad water temp sensor will MOST CERTAINLY affect cold starting/idle, very common acrossed most cars, replace it immediately.
